Jon played 12 years of professional baseball, brought up as a shortstop, he was converted to a pitcher when his fastball started topping at 98 MPH. His Major League resume includes recorded outs against Matt Holliday, Brandon Phillips, Buster Posey, Albert Pujols, Colby Rasmus, Joey Votto and Edgar Renteria. For his career, Jon has a 65-38 record with a 3.49 ERA in 512 games. 

He played college baseball at Bluefield College and was the first player in Bluefield history to reach the Major Leagues. He worked hard and beat the odds.

Gifted with a hyper-intense baseball mind and a dynamic presence on the field, he invests in kids and helps motivate them on and off the field. 

​Working with young ballplayers for 8 years, his students have received 10 college scholarships, 5 professional contracts, and 2 have played in the big leagues.
